By Wildchildmedia @wildchildmedia

The pop-diva is certainly having a busy year. Her ‘The Mrs. Carter Show’ world tour kicked off in Belgrade, Serbia, this week and she has featured in a recent Pepsi ad campaign, with a song called “Grown Woman” from her forthcoming album, as part of the  beverage company’s “Live For Now” campaign. All this while juggling motherhood, caring for daughter Blue Ivy. What a woman!

Now photos have been released from H&M’s ‘Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M’ swimwear campaign. The exclusive photos, shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in the Bahamas, showcase the store’s new tropical-inspired swimwear collection.

The shoot, filled with vibrant colours and was inspired by the glamour of the late ‘70s. It’s easy to see the disco decade referenced in the styling as well as the vivid Guy Bourdin-esque palette – fringed bikinis, a hibiscus bouquet of artfully clipped flowers in B’s bouncy curls or the elbow-high gold bangles all nod back in time.

“What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style.” According to Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design.

“I love the summer. I’m always in shorts, dresses, light, flowing fabrics, great sandals,” says Beyoncé of her simple-but-effective outfit choices for when the temperature rises.

The collection will be available online and in-store from 2 May 2013.
