So in order for us not to get confused with which method we should be using, and to erase ourselves with the thought that each learning method is just promoting itself to be the effective one, let’s get to read and know some of the learners who actually experienced the actual Spanish language learning. I took this from a very common website where forums are widely open to everyone, and I think each of their statements is worth the consideration.
“In my experience, immersion is the best way to learn, with a little help from grammar practice and dictionaries.”
“Watch the news in Spanish. This is a good exercise because you will always have a context. Watch the film as you listen to the story.”
“Eavesdrop. When you hear people speaking in Spanish try to understand what they are saying to each other.”
“Watch Spanish-language films. You can read the subtitles and listen at the same time.”
“Look for things written in Spanish in your home (e.g. instructions for appliances) and see how much you understand. This is a good way to learn new vocabulary.”
“Online forums. Have you ever participated in a forum before? If you do not have and you want to learn Spanish, now is the time to join one.”
“Online Videos. The Google video, YouTube, Yahoo videos… there is more to them than entertainment value. The video sites are online knowledge banks can help in your quest to learn Spanish quickly. These sites contain many videos that are mini courses Spanish.”
“Blogs. Not quite as interactive as forums, but still quite handy to pick up written Spanish for free.”
Convinced? These are just few of the many learning methods Spanish language learners are using. But of course, saving the best for last, just like people choosing to learn English abroad, Spanish can be effectively learned when they go abroad. Language school is acquisition is still, so far, a method worth recommending.
