High boots have been both a blessing and a curse. On one hand they really spice up a fall/winter wardrobe, they make getting dressed rather easy, and if you’re in a snowy climate you know what I’m saying when I say they help prevent wet, dirty jeans (one of the less glamorous aspects of winter, for sure). But, for me, finding the perfect pair of boots was quite a struggle…they were always too tight on my calves—especially with a pair of jeans shoved inside them. Thanks to a lot of trial and error I now know several brands/styles of boots that have room for big calves along with walkable heels.
