Ho ho ho… Sad to know, the happy and cheerful Santa has suddenly turned rude and grumpy, which in turn cost him his job… Poor Santa, jobless this Christmas season!
The festive season for families means Christmas shopping in malls and having a fun time. But a mall Santa reportedly ruined it. Parents who brought their kids to the Maine Mall, South Portland said they met the shopping center Santa who was rude and unconcerned of the children and would not even let them sit in his lap.
Jessica Mailhiot with her daughter Chantel, 6, went to see St. Nick, so that her daughter could tell him what she wanted as her Christmas present. But unfortunately, instead of lending an ear they were completely snubbed.
When the tiny toddler asked for an “American Girl” doll, the Santa replied: “American football.”
Chantel Mailhiot said, “He just put his hands on his lap so I couldn’t go on.”
Jessica Mailhiot further added that the Santa’s attitude was extremely unpleasant when she declined to purchase photos worth $20.
Various other families too complained to the officials of the Maine Mall about the rude Santa Claus. Taking action, officials have announced to bring in a more jollier Santa to brighten they customers’ Christmas holidays.
“Visiting Santa at The Maine Mall is free. Photo purchases are NOT required and we have been reacting to customer complaints by taking some pretty serious steps already, the results of which you will see within the upcoming days,” the mall wrote on her Facebook page. “We realize time with Santa Claus is a holiday tradition many of our shoppers look forward to year after year – and so do we.”
Wish the coming days are fun filled for kids and families visiting the Maine Mall or any other malls across the globe with joyful and jovial Santa greeting them, instead of cantankerous Ebenezer Scrooge.
