I love a good award show, especially an MTV award show and the Europe Music Awards often get over looked but there were some killer looks last night and as you know, for me, it’s all about the face.
Here’s my quick round up of my favourites and why their look rocks…
As with most awards shows there are two main camps. This time most ladies fell into either the Red Lip camp or the Smokey Eye camp.
Red Lip Queen Gwen Stefani led the way, with Rita Ora and Alicia Keys following suit with the latter using hers as a pop contrast to her striking green dress. They were joined by Carly Rae Jepson, who opted for a slightly deeper, more red wine shade but still waved the red flag in Germany.
The other camp was the obvious award show favourite, the smokey eye. EMA host and smokey eye lover Heidi Klum added a subtle gunmetal shimmer to her smoke, while Kim Kardashian went full on with jet black shadow and false lashes (from her and her sisters new Khroma beauty line). On the softer side was my favorite Lana del Ray, with a gentle bluey-black smoke and winged out liner with the group completed by Taylor Sift, who jumped camp from her usual red lip and went for sultry glam.
So no real make-up disasters (we won’t mention some of the fashion) but I think my overall favourite has to be Gwen Stefani. Amaze! Check out the Beauty Icon post I did on her ages ago for more information.
