Beachy, Wavy Hair :How Too

By Lucylovesblog @lucylovesblog
Beachy, Wavy Hair :How TooRecently, I've been loving that beachy, wavy kind of curls for your hair and went investigating on whats the cheapest/easiest and best way for me too achieve this! And I rated each one out of 5 on price, time and effectiveness.
I started with the cheapest I could find which were these sainsburys own brand of 'Medium Vented Rollers' I went for medium because the smaller the roller the tighter the curl and that wasn't the look I wanted, and the big ones looked huge especially as my hair is so thin!
It took me a few attempts to get these too work, but they did eventually. I didn't follow the instructions, maybe I should have, but i'd previously googled how to use non-heated rollers and just did it from how I'd read.
After I got out of the shower I brushed my hair through added my Tresemme Split End Serum through my hair (See Blog Archive For A Review) and then seperate my hair into bits, as there was only 6 I split my hair into top layer and bottom layer and did 2 at the back on the bottom layer one at each side on the bottom layer then one on each side of the top layer and didn't do my fringe. I kept it close to the ends didn't curl to high up and secured them with curvy grips which was a bit of a pain! I then blow dryed my hair (low heat) with them in giving them a bit of encouragement. About a half hour later, my hair was nearly dry so took the rollers out, The curls were very very loose and needed ALOT of hair spray to stay in place, but they were wavy curls maybe not as wavy as I liked (first I didn't want them to curly now they're not curly enough!)
Price: 4/5
Time: 2/5 (Would be okay if have a long time to get ready)
Effectiveness: 2/5 (1 Point for not damaging my hair, 1 for being easy to use)
But overall they aren't bad for what you pay!
Beachy, Wavy Hair :How TooNext, I tried with my straightners which i'm guessing is what most of you do? I would have taken a picture of my own but mine are battered and have a big wrap around of duck tape on them! So yeah! Anyway, I brushed all my hair through and seperated into layers, i closed the straightners round the ends of my hair and rolled them up with my hair wrapping round them and held in place and counted to 7 (random i know) and then let go. Genuinelly, HATE the curls my straightners give me, so tight and they frizz and seperate from the rest of my hair, after doing this all the way round my hair i brushed through with my fingers and I just hated it, ended up sticking my hair up in a bun!Price: 0/5 (For curling, straightning would get a 5!)Time: 4/5 (was really quick and easy)Effectiveness: 3/5 (It did really curl my hair, but it wasn't to my liking!
