Baked Zucchini* Courgette Crispy Thins- A perfect Size Zero Snack to compliment your Tea-Time Emotion!

For Tea lovers, tea is not just a drink...It's rather an emotion which, if unfelt, makes them incomplete for that moment. For such tea lovers, teatime means a complete indulgence moment and enjoying each and every sip with a crispy bite of their favorite snacks. I and My husband are one of that kind.

To fulfill that emotional aura and bonding with our tea and snack time, I am always motivated to try different snacks. This time, I experimented with zucchini. Zucchini has been a favorite in our family for past couple of years. So, I am never afraid of trying various versions of this summer squash.

This time I tried to bake a snack with my Zucchini "Size zero fruit from the nature (as I call it)". The way this snack is prepared makes it look even thinner. That's why I named this snack as Baked Zucchini Crispy Thins.

These Zucchini Crispy thins are a perfect blend of taste with health. Zucchini is one of the very low calorie vegetables; provide only 17 calories per 100 g. It contains no saturated fats or cholesterol. Its peel is good source of dietary fiber that helps reduce constipation and offers some protection against colon cancers.

If you are looking for a way to lose weight in a healthy way, it's time for you to learn about the health benefits of Zucchini. Zucchini is well known to reduce weight, yet still boosting the nutrient value of your diet. Moreover, it helps to promote eye health, and prevents all the diseases that occur from vitamin C deficiency like scurvy, sclerosis, and easy bruising.

It helps to cure asthma and has a high content of vitamin C, carbohydrates, protein and fiber. Zucchini contains significant quantities of potassium, folate, and vitamin A, all of which are important for general good health. Zucchini, when eaten regularly, can effectively lower your homocysteine levels.

I think after mentioning the health benefits of this super summer squash above, I can easily justify the nickname I have kept for courgette squash. It's truly a "Size-Zero fruit from the nature". If you are looking to reduce weight and control cholesterol, you should include zucchini in your diet plan to a great extent.

The Baked Zucchini or Courgette Crispy thins are a perfect snack to savor with your teatime and create relishing memories. The crispy factor comes from the egg-bath and breadcrumbs dredged onto the zucchinis. Another tip for the crispier bites is to cut the Zucchini slices thinner. Thinner the slices, crispier it turns out.

You can use any herb seasoning of your choice. Italian seasoning is the best one to go with these bites. If you have dried fenugreek leaves, you can even use that as your seasoning. I always have the dried fenugreek herb in my pantry. So, this time, I decided to use this herb rather than the Italian seasoning. The Zucchini crispy bites taste awesome with the dried fenugreek herb, I promise! The whole kitchen became aromatic and inviting while it was baking in the oven.

For the dip to go with my zucchini crispy thins, I mixed low-fat sour cream with the low-fat cottage cheese. When served on the table along with the crispy thins, it was simply irresistible and the whole batch was over within 5 minutes. My kids loved the snack and so did my husband.

So, weight-watchers and tea-lovers, this low-calorie snack is just perfect to compliment your tea-time emotion while adding almost zero calories and lots of fiber!
