Back to School on a Budget: Makeup Edition

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
For these next few posts, I had to get into the mind set of high school student.  Which was rather easy since I miss those days.  By the way teenagers, enjoy it while you can.  Trust me, you'll miss it someday.  I thought about how I would wear makeup and products on the market that I love now that I am in college. And that would not cost a ton of money. I know in high school that cash is few and far between, so cheap is good.  I will go ahead and state that I did include one product that is a bit pricey, but you will thank me. =)
Back to School on a Budget: Makeup Edition
1.) I remember having very oily skin as a teenager, so a foundation like L'Oreal's new Magic Nude Liquid Powder would have been a life saver.  It keeps my skin matte and saves some time since I don't have to use a finishing powder. $11 at drugstores and Target. You can check out my full review here.
2.) Neutral, simple shades of eyeshadow are the best way to go.  They are easy to work with if you are in a hurry (I know I was because sleep was of utmost importance) and NYX's Love in Florence Meet my Romeo palette has everything you need.  It has 3 shimmery shades and two matte shades to create a gorgeous, neutral look. It is under $8 at Ulta, ulta.com and nyx.com.
3.) Every girl needs mascara in her arsenal. I have been liking Cover' Girl's Clump Crusher to add a little volume and length.  Plus the bright green tube is just fun and it does not cost a lot.
4.) Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer in Stargazer.  Like I said before, easy and natural is the way to go.  Stargazer is a pretty, shimmery, very neutral shade that lasts a long time on the lips and is perfect for a day at school.
5.) The trick to long lasting makeup is a good eye primer.  And Rimmel Exaggerate Shadow Primer is a great, inexpensive one.  It keeps shadow from fading and creasing.  Just be sure to let it completely dry before applying your eyeshadow.
6.) Maybelline Electro Baby Lips in Fierce n Tangy is a fun way to keep your lips soft and supple.  It is clear, but gives your lips a slightly glossy look and it smells amazing. You can find them now at all drugstores.
7.) And if neutral is not your thing, but you want to stay subtle, check out Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipstick in Kissable Pink.  This is a non-drying lipstick that stays on for about three hours.  It is a light pink, so the color will not be too intense.

8.) Sonia Kashuk Eye on Neutral Palette is something every woman needs regardless of her age.  The matte shades are perfect in texture and pigment.  If shimmery shadows are not your thing, get this.  Heck, even if you love them, get it.  They will not crease or fade on you.  And for $20, it is a great value.
9.) At $22, Josie Maran's Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee may be a splurge, but stay with me. This blush will stay on you all day long and the color provides a gorgeous sheer flush. But the color is also buildable. One little container will literally last you ages and ages. Plus it contains some ingredients that are beneficial for your skin.
10.) Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer and Highlighter is a wonderful little product. Especially when you consider the price. For less than $5, this concealer does a really good job at hiding my dark circles and redness around my nose. On days my skin looks good, all I need is this and no foundation. Plus the brush is quite handy but be careful! It easy to get way too much.
