This month’s theme is Glamour Academy.

{Please bear with me, I’ve been playing around with Photoshop a lot this week. :) }

Another great bag to store my sunglasses in!

glamour-acedemy-bag Michael Todd True Organics Pumpkin Nutrient-Rich Facial Mask $34 full size

{Sample size worth about $10 + 30% off purchase coupon}

michael-todd-collage Pros

  1. Organic Ingredients.
  2. Uses glycolic acid to dissolve impurities.
  3. Improves appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.
  4. Adds brightness & radiance to skin.
  5. Smells just like pumpkin puree! LOVE pumpkin anything!
  6. My skin felt noticeably firmer after one use.

Cons

  1. Not for sensitive skin, which I have.
  2. I don’t always follow directions so I tried it anyway, but wore for 5 minutes of the recommended 5 -10 minute time interval.
  3. It BURNS. Like holy water on a vampire burn.  After about 3 minutes, it went away though so I let it stay on the full 5 minutes.
  4. It doesn’t spread on evenly. I had lots of globs in different areas.
  5. I developed a small breakout the next day {which isn’t uncommon for new skin products for me}.
  6. Price tag.
  7. I was craving a Pumpkin Spice Latte really badly when I was done. ;)

Verdict

When this runs out, I will be buying a case of this stuff!  I am all about stopping & reversing the aging process & if I can do so with an organic product even better! The things we do for beauty! ;)

Pixi Beauty Lash Booster Mascara in Blackest Black $17 full size

{Sample size worth about $7 + 20% off coupon}

pixi-lash-booster-mascara Pros

  1. You can never have too many mascaras.
  2. Didn’t run.
  3. Waterproof.
  4. Didn’t irritate my eyes.

Cons

  1. The mascara was very dry at first.
  2. My tube was coming apart.
  3. Clumpy.
  4. Price Tag.

Verdict

I will continue to use as a “run quick errands” mascara but will not be purchasing once it runs out.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer $36 full size

{Sample size worth about $5 + Free mascara with full size purchase offer}

smashbox-photo-finish-foundation-primer Pros

  1. Has Vitamins A & E & grape seed & green tea extracts.
  2. Oil-free & non greasy.
  3. A little goes a long way.
  4. My makeup lasted all day in Florida humidity.
  5. Lots of other options available for purchase {they offer a replenishment service too!}
  6. I already had a tube that I won from Smashbox so now I have a decent stash!

Cons

  1. Price tag.

Verdict

I am not sure if I will be purchasing when my two samples run out.  My Revlon primer works really well & it is 1/3 of the price but only time will tell. :)

Mica Beauty Mineral Eye Shadow in Bronze $14.95 full size

{Full size + 25% off coupon}

mica-bronze-eyeshadow Pros

  1. Gentle, free of preservatives, chemicals, talc & oils.
  2. Gorgeous shimmery color.
  3. Long wearing.
  4. A little goes a long way.

Cons

  1. I don’t have more of these in my collection.

Verdict

I would definitely consider purchasing other shades.  This is the second pot that I have received from ipsy & they are just as beautiful in person!

Since the pumpkin face mask put me in a Fall mood, here is the look I created using the two eye products.  I also used the olive & purple shades from Sephora’s Desert Sunset Eyeshadow/Blush Palette {on sale for $10!} that I just adore.

ipsy-fall-eye-4 Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 69 $22 full size

{Sample size worth about $8 + Free shipping on purchase}

urban-decay-69

Pros

  1. GORGEOUS color!
  2. A little bit goes a long way.
  3. Lasts all day.
  4. Moisturizing.
  5. My first ever Urban Decay lipstick!

Cons

  1. It’s takes some scrubbing to remove off of silverware & glasses.
  2. The name. I’m not a prude but it’ll always be awkward if someone asks me what lipstick I’m wearing! {Apparently it has 69 ingredients, hence the name}
  3. Price tag.

Verdict

I may be a new lipstick junkie! Good thing  these will last a long time!

Here are some total package looks.

Again I was playing with Photoshop. :)
