♥ August Favorites ♥

By Lipglossaffairs @justsangy
Its that time of the month when every blogger has posted or posting their favorites in skincare, haircare, beauty and fashion. And so today am sharing with you my favorites from the month of August. Like you have seen i have quite a few from haircare. Reason, Lately i have been styling my hair alot and also traveling too. Travelling does take a toll on hair especially with the change of water and weather.I have been visiting my Dear H's hometown which by far is scary to me even in my dreams. Ohh!! People are lovely and i always have a great time going there, but hair takes a beating. Its so humid and hot there that i always had to look for anti-frizz serums and shampoos and conditioners. No amount of styling holds the hair straight and often leads me to get crazy looking at my super frizzy mane!! Nevertheless these did help me a bit if not solved the problem totally. And back here these are must-haves for me. With the climate here in Hyderabad, these are perfect!! So these would (hopefully) stay to be my staples and am still looking for my HG's in haircare!!
♥ August Favorites ♥
Berina Almond Milk Leave-On ConditionerThis was one of the samples in the Enchantess Beauty Bag Few months back. For sometime i didn't even bother to test it before tossing it away to the corner of the stash. And then oneday out of boredom i took this out and decided to see what's it all about!!Since that moment till now, this one stands to be my favorite leave-on conditioner. Here's why ~
  • Smells heavenly and the one pump of spray almost covers half of the hair (i just do 3-4 just in case covering the hair in every angle)
  • Bottle is kinda huge and it seems it will go on forever
  • Almonds and Almond Milk is time tested and proven to be good for hair
  • Comes in a simple clear plastic bottle with a damn good spray pump attached (i have seen spray pumps from very good brands also not doing this great!!)
Tigi BedHead Superstar Blowdry Lotion
I didn't pay attention to details when i bought this. It says for 'massive hair', which i clearly don't have but still its one of the most used hair styling product in my stash. Why i Like ~
  • It protects my hair during blowdry and styling
  • It speedens up the drying time of the wet hair
  • It adds a little volume without weighing it down
  • Styling stays in place and hair doesn't feel fried up

Schwarzkopf Osis+ Magic Finish Anti-Frizz Shine SerumJust a little does the trick. It gives a perfect finish and shine to the hair and keeps it getting frizzy. I seriously tried this product out when i was in my Dear H's hometown. Weather here can turn any perfectly styled hair into frizzy in mins. So you can understand why i love this so much. Though i particularly don't need this when am here in Hyderabad, i do carry it without fail if am traveling. If you need extra shine and want to keep the hair frizz free, then this is your best bet!!
Jacqui's Passion Body Mist in PomegranateOne of the samples from the Enchantess Bag again, this one is my favorite at the moment. Its Light and fruity scent goes a long way all day without overpowering the nostrils anytime. Its mellow sweet fruity scents will appeal to anyone who likes it simple and light. I have been using this one almost daily after shower since i got it and am pretty sure this is not going to end anytime soonerNot that am complaining ..... :)
Living Proof Live Cell Renewing MoisturizerYou can read my short review on the same here and recently i did stock up on this and other products from the same line, when Slassy.com had some huge discounts on this particular brand products (more on that in next post)
Rimmel London Gentle Eye Makeup RemoverI don't often use eyeshadows but eye liners and mascaras are my staples. I can't step out without Kajal/Kohl. I like it rather extra dark and almost smoky. I often do touch-ups so it stays put all day (when am out esp); so you can imagine i definitely need this remover at the end of the day. This remover is definitely gentle than the Revlon Eye Makeup Remover for me. Somehow Revlon remover did often make me cry (it kinda stings my eyes whenever i used). Though i do like this so much at the moment for its easeness in removing eye makeup and being gentle on eyes, am yet to find my HG which is more gentler on my sensitive eyes
So these were my favorites from the month of August. What's yours???
