Asus Launches ZenFone AR in India

Asus has unveiled its latest smartphone in India the Zenfone AR. The Zenfone AR is worlds the first smartphone that is Google Project Tango-enabled and supports Google Daydream. The Zenfone AR was launched at CES earlier this year.

The Zenfone AR comes with 8GB RAM to support both AR and VR and is the second-ever Tango-compatible Android handset after Lenovo Tab 2 Pro. However, since the Zenfone AR boasts high-end configurations, the ZenFone AR will offer a better and precise with AR/VR experience.

Zenfone AR Specifications

The ZenFone AR is powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor as well as an Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with a staggering 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage.

The ZenFone AR has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display WQHD 2560×1440 resolution and a new five-magnet speaker for improved sound. Asus’ TriCam system that boasts a 23MP camera with motion-sensing and depth-tracking capabilities is present in the Zenfone AR. It also comes with an 8-megapixel front camera.

The pho0ne runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The Zenfone AR comes with a 3300 mAH battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 support. Asus has also added USB 2.0 Type-C reversible connector, FM radio, GPS, Bluetooth v4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac along with Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot as connectivity options. It also comes with an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, barometer, fingerprint and proximity sensors.

The phone features a PixelMaster 3.0 camera system, a Sony IMX318 sensor, and TriTech Autofocus system. The camera has a few special modes: 4-axis OIS photo, 3-axis EIS video stabilization, Super Resolution (92MP photos by capturing and combining four native 23MP photos), low light, and 4K video recording.
