Requirements:
Qualifications Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities may be considering qualifying at the sole discretion of the District. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and skills would be: Education and Training: A licensed EMT-P in the state of California or NREMTP and maintain it throughout employment ; A license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing and maintain it throughout employment is highly desirable, An Associates in Science or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is desirable. Experience: Five years of recent professional paramedic field experience or nursing experience in a hospital emergency room setting or as part of an emergency transport team in an advanced life support environment. Special Requirements: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification; Must possess a valid California class “C” driver’s license, with a clean driving record and maintain it throughout employment.
