I think if you can clean up as you go then you aren’t overwhelmed when it comes to cleaning the house. In fact, I wrote a post  a few weeks ago. I shared 5 ways to clean up the house and save you two hours each week.

  1. Stephanie from Parenting Chaos asked: Anything you wish you had known before becoming a parent?

That kids require a lot of attention and they have tons of energy. When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I did have a bit of an idea on what I was getting myself into. I have twin sisters who were born when I was a teenager and I was able to spoil them. Of course, I didn’t have the major responsibilities that I do now that I have my own kids.

  1. Stephanie from Parenting Chaos asked: What is the hardest thing you have faced as a parent?

After my divorce, I was living in North Carolina by myself with two kids. I didn’t have very many friends, had a crappy job, and no support system to help me when I needed it. As the walls started caving in on me, I decided it was time to move back to Texas. I wasn’t sure how well my children would handle moving away from their friends. I didn’t have a job or a place to live lined up when I moved back. Luckily, my parents let us stay with them for a few months while I searched for a full time job. It was hard getting back on my feet but everything worked out better than I planned and it was worth moving.
