ASK REESE: What products do you use every morning? (Autumn/Winter edition 2013)

I was recently asked by one of my workmates what products I use each morning to get ready for work. My makeup look is pretty basic and very rarely changes and while I do enjoy colourful makeup looks I always seem to stick the neutrals everyday.
These are my go-to products and they haven’t failed me yet. I didn’t include things like eyeliner, mascara or lipstick because mine varies so often (especially lipstick) that by the time this goes live I would have changed my lip colour several times already.

ASK REESE: What products do you use every morning? (Autumn/Winter edition 2013)
ColorWOW One-Minute Transformation Styling Cream, $29.95 (120mL)
This is the only product I put through my hair these days. You just need the tiniest amount and it controls flyaways, smooths your hair down and makes it amazingly soft and fresh. I love this product to no end. It’s also extremely light on the hair so even if you use it twice without washing your hair in between your hair doesn’t feel weighed down. Definitely a product for those who don’t really style your hair too much.

Illamasqua Brow Cake in ‘Peek’, $22.00
This is my favourite brow product and I’ve been using it for almost a year now. Perfect shade for me and it really compliments my hair colour and doesn’t make me look weird. This is how I do my brows, if you’re interested.

A?sop Oil Free Facial Hydration Serum, $63.00 (100mL)
I often apply this at night but sometimes I reply on it first thing in the morning also. I love this product because it’s oil-free, gives your skin a good drink and makes it amazingly soft and smooth if you apply it just before bed the night before.
I put this on just before my sunscreen and moisturiser and find that it also gives your an amazing base before you apply anything else on your skin.

Urban Decay Primer Potion, $20.00
My go-to eyeshadow primer. I’ve been using this forever and I can’t fault it at all. I do enjoy using others but I have been using this much longer than the others.

Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, $27.00
This is pretty much all I use for my everyday look. I use Walk of Shame sometimes on the lid; lately I haven’t though. I apply Naked 2 in the crease, Foxy as a brow highlight with a touch of Venus just at the arch of my brow. If I’m feeling a little more adventurous I apply Faint in the outer-V. I’ve used Crave to smoke out the look if I’m going out somewhere in the evening.

M.A.C Pigment in ‘Tan’, $39.00 (4.5g)
Lately I’ve been opting for a bit of shimmer on my lids, so instead of using Walk of Shame on my lids I’ve been applying this, just so my eye makeup isn’t all matte. It’s a deep champagne colour which really compliments the shades in the Naked Basics palette quiet well.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed palette, $30.00
This product has definitely changed the way I sculpt my face. The blush and bronzer is a perfect shade for me and the highlighter is perfect without it looking or feeling chalky. Perfect palette for me by far.
