Arsenal Battles Nurnberg Without Havertz: Get the Confirmed Lineup Now!

In Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Nurnberg, Kai Havertz, the club’s £65 million summer signing, finds himself on the bench, eagerly awaiting his debut. Mikel Arteta, the Gunners’ manager, has included Havertz in the 30-man squad that has traveled to Germany, as numerous players return to action.

Gabriel Martinelli, Mohamed Elneny, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Takehiro Tomiyasu have resumed training but will not feature in this match. However, William Saliba, who suffered a back injury and missed the last two months of the previous season, starts the game. Arsenal has taken a cautious approach to manage his workload and gradually reintegrate him into the team.

Gabriel Jesus and Ben White, who were part of a behind-closed-doors draw with Watford last week, are included among the substitutes. Jesus finds himself on the bench alongside Folarin Balogun. The starting lineup demonstrates an attacking approach, with Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard forming a dynamic midfield partnership. Unfortunately, midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga will be absent from the camp due to injury.

The Arsenal XI for this friendly features Ramsdale in goal, supported by a defensive line comprising White, Saliba, Gabriel, and Kiwior. Trossard, Partey, and Odegaard take charge of the midfield, while Saka, Nketiah, and Nelson spearhead the attack. On the bench, Arsenal has a range of options, including Hein, Cedric, Tierney, Trusty, Walters, Jorginho, Vieira, Havertz, Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly, Jesus, and Balogun.
