Android Wear: Motorola Announces Moto 360 SmartwatchMotorola has announced its own version of Android wear called Moto 360 smartwatch.

It would be recalled that Google has already unveils speech controlled touchscreen watches. The Motorola’s announcement means that the tech company is joining other tech giants that have already introduced their wearable gadgets.

Also, LG has already announced plans to get on board with Google’s Android Wear platform and Motorola has followed closely behind.

Motorola has introduced the Moto 360 smartwatch that is due to be released this summer and offers something a little different from the norm.

The Motorola Moto 360 features a round design compared to the conventional square style of rival offerings and when it is in watch mode, you could mistake it for a conventional analog device.

However, the Moto 360 features a touchscreen, along with Google’s new wearables version of Android and it will be voice controlled like other Android Wear devices.

You can search for important information, book a table at a restaurant and check your flight times by just saying “OK Google”, similar to the LG G Watch that was also announced this week.

Additionally, the Moto 360 offers alerts and notifications, links to your Android phone and will show you emails and other message alerts at the flick of your wrist.

Motorola will launch the Moto 360 in the US to begin with, along with globally from the summer and you will be able to pick it up in a number of styles.
