Quick break from politics because some acts of stupidity simply have to be highlighted.
Melanie Brown, former Spice Girl, known as Mel B, one of the new America's Got Talent judges,  criticized a popular New Orleans band, Lagniappe, an internationally known Big Easy band, and further stated she was not a fan of brass music.
Normally that wouldn't be a problem, except Mel B did this at auditions in New Orleans, which has a rich history of brass bands and brass music, dating back to the the late 19th century.
More about that history can be found at KnowLA, Encyclopedia of Louisiana and GoNola.
Needless to say, the New Orleans audience was not very forgiving and started booing Mel B, telling her to "go home" and yelling "no respect."
Ms. Brown will learn that on a national stage, you cannot simply blurt out whatever comes to mind.
