Amarya Beauty Box October 2012

This months Amarya Beauty Box has caused a bit of a controversy on Facebook! The box contained 4 trial sized products from the Balance Me brand.
Amarya Beauty Box October 2012
People seem to be complaining about three things with this box. Firstly, they don’t like receiving all trial sizes. This doesn’t bother me too much as if you get one full size product and you don’t like it, it feels like such a waste. Secondly, people don’t like receiving products which are all from the same brand. I have to say I do agree with this. I wouldn’t rant about it like a crazy person on Facebook...but still. Finally, people seem to think that Balance Me have cheapened themselves as a brand. They are quite readily available, and they have provided a lot of freebies with magazines in the past year. In saying that, I have never tried the brand before. I am very  discerning with what magazines I buy and the likes of Glamour just doesn’t cut it for me, so I’ve never came across any Balance Me freebies.
Citrus & Spice Hand & Body Wash Mini 55ml by Balance Me RRP £3.75You can’t really go wrong with a citrus-y smelling body wash can you really? This one smells really pleasant and refreshing. I’ll be holding onto it to use on my next romantic weekend away. HINT HINT Mr Juicy!!

Again, you can't go too far wrong with something like this! We move into our new house next year and we'll have a downstairs WC. I think this little product will sit nicely in there beside the sink.
Amarya Beauty Box October 2012Balancing Face Moisturiser Mini 20ml by Balance Me RRP £11.00
This moisturiser created a nice matt surface, which is great for oily skin like mine. I'd definitely take it on holiday with me instead of carting my glass bottle of Dr Hauschka Normalising Day Oil around, but I'm not going to rush out and buy a full sized tube.
Amarya Beauty Box October 2012Wonder Eye Cream Mini 7ml by Balance Me RRP £11.00
I haven’t used an eye cream for years. I used to use Liz Earle’s Daily Eye Repair which is very thick and creamy. It was great for covering my dark circles however rich, thick, chalky eye creams can cause milia and this is what happened to me. Milia are little white heads which form under the skin so you can’t pop them! Mine were very tiny and weren't raised, but they were very annoying nonetheless! It took me years to get rid of them!
Amarya Beauty Box October 2012This eye cream is my more fluid than the Liz Earle one. I feel like it sort of sits under my eyes when I put in on, and creates a smooth, flat surface on which to apply make-up. I never really felt like it sunk in properly. I remain a eye cream sceptic!
No matter what people say, you can’t deny that this box is still great value for money. When you add up all the RRPs it comes to over £30 and the beauty box subscription is £10 plus P+P.
Overall this hasn’t been my favorite box from Amarya. I still feel I’ve got great value for money though, and I’ve got to try a brand I’d never tried before. I like collecting little travel sized products too, so this box has been great for that.
What does everybody else think of this months box?
