Alliance – The mechanical watch of stylish elegance

The mechanical watch of stylish elegance

Alliance is an elegant and sober watch boasting the best elements of Swiss-Made mechanical watchmaking. This year’s model is equipped with a self-winding ETA 2824 movement, famous for its robustness and reliability. An important detail marks the evolution of the 2014 edition: as a signature, the second hand now sports the famous Victorinox red, as does the ‘Automatic’ inscription on the dial. The Alliance is available with two dials, dark gray or eggshell, and two bracelets, polished and satined steel or ecologically tanned black leather.

The lines are classic and clean. Alliance goes back to the basics and focuses on its primary function: to display the time as accurately and clearly as possible. To perform this task, the watch is equipped with an ETA 2824 mechanical automatic movement, among the most robust and reliable in Swiss watchmaking. To accompany this high-quality engine, Victorinox Swiss Army has selected only the finest components. The stainless steel case is a generous 40 mm in diameter. On its dial, every detail has been designed to ensure at-a-glance legibility. The polished, pyramid-shaped indexes subtly catch and reflect the light. They alternate with Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. As on all the brand’s watches, the Swiss cross emblem stands proudly at 12 o’clock. The sword-shaped and faceted hour and minute hands are topped with a second hand whose counterweight suggests the iconic shape of the Swiss Army Knife. It bears the famous Victorinox red, as does the ‘Automatic’ inscription at 6 o’clock, just above the date window. Another brand signature — military time — is discreetly embossed at the edge of the indexes, so as not to disturb the aesthetic harmony of the whole. Alliance is available with two dial options: dark gray or eggshell. The tones are highlighted by a delicately brushed sunray finish. Two bracelet choices are offered: polished and satined steel or an ecologically tanned black leather strap, both equipped with folding clasp.
