ALICE IN WONDERLAND BY NANCY CHRISTIE
Alice in Wonderland by Nancy Christie is a 2013 release, published by Pixel Hall Press. I received a copy of this short story from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.
Alice lives her life through the pages of her books. Her sickly mother has sucked any life Alice might have had right out of her. The doctor visits, the sponge baths, the pills and other constant demands her mother makes of her has kept Alice from having a life of her own. Her only escape is through the books she reads.
Now I have heard of people saying they digested a book, more or less meaning they absorbed it, but not quite the way Alice does.
This is another short story by Nancy Christie. I think maybe this one might even qualify as flash fiction. A dark trip "down the rabbit hole" for a young woman that resents her overbearing and demanding mother and copes with her situation the only way she knows how. But, has Alice taken things a little too far?

This one gets an A.
