As part of our posts here on the English Wedding showcase, we thought it would be nice to share some of our couple’s stories as they go through the ups and downs of wedding planning!
Meet AJ and Ed, one of our very lovely couples getting married later this year!
Their story starts out at university, when the two of them first met and became very good friends. It didn’t take AJ long to fall for Ed, but unfortunately the timing wasn’t quite right. A few years later, thankfully, when AJ kissed Ed he kissed her back, and, as they say, the rest is history!
The Proposal - AJ takes it from here!
Ed and I were on a weekend away at the end of the Gower Peninsula in Wales in a place called Worm’s Head. The end of the peninsula is only accessible at low tide and involves clambering over rocks and walking over Devil’s bridge. Getting to the very end involved scrambling up the last bit of the rocky headland. Ed is in his element doing these things, I on the other hand am not so sure on my feet. I even shouted at him for scaring me! However, once we were at the end, despite the fact I was sitting down and refused to stand up (it was very high) Ed got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was perfect – it felt like we were at the edge of the earth, in a world all on our own.
