AG in the 6th is a place Colette and I love so we wanted to go with three dear friends, but yesterday, two other trusted sources told us they had had a horrible meal there two days ago (but, PS, on exiting the restaurant, they conferred with another US couple who loved it - both blamed or accredited, as the case may be, their going on "little old me" - and, on comparing notes, it turns out that they had ordered totally different dishes.)  So, we went forewarned.  But not to worry, all was well.  We ordered with great difficulty, there being so many delightful choices following the amuses of pumpkin soup and parmesan cookies.

Amazingly, except for one of us who ordered a bigger portion of pumpkin soup with poached egg and chestnut bits, the other 4 of us had raviolis stuffed with crevettes with langoutines and a sweet potato sauce.  The deliciousity level was way up.

For mains, one of us had the cod, which was lovely and the rest of us had 3-rib lamb chops that were all cooked to our various preferences, the latter with a fine parsnip puree.

The desserts were once again quite special; two chocolate dishes (one with a Mont Blanc and the other with a caramel beurre sale) and a brioche perdu.   With coffee came madeleines and superb almonds.

Our bill with 3 bottles of wine, no bottled water and 3 coffees was 266 E for five, thus 110.40 E a couple.
