2014 has been an incredible year for me so far. I have achieved one of my biggest life long dreams that has changed my outlook on life completely. You may have seen my Life Changing African Adventure post, if not please give it a read so you know where all of this has come from.A few years back I was a quiet, shy young girl whose confidence was at rock bottom. I often thought about travelling, and helping others but never thought for one minute I would even hear of the chance to do such a thing, let alone be offered it on a plate.
Without going off onto too much of a tangent, the message of this post is to 'Follow your Dreams'. I just wanted to share with you all a few points that we've all heard, but I never realised how truthful they are until recently.
01. Never let anyone get in your way - we are all humans, living on earth with only one shot each at life. No matter what background you are born into, YOUR life is what YOU make of it.
02. Hard work pays off - If you want something, work for it. Put time, effort and passion into something and it will be achieved, even if it takes up 99.9% of your time, it will pay off eventually.
03. Say YES to every opportunity - obviously look into whatever it is you are offered, weigh it up etc. If in doubt, think what have you got to loose? The majority of the time, not an awful lot, and who knows where that YES could get you.
04. Have faith in yourself - don't doubt your ability or compare yourself to others. Everybody is different in their own way. Never think you can't do something just because somebody else can, if they can, why can't you?
05. Finally, enjoy life - we are all only here once, some sadly for only a short time. It scary how things can be taken away, so it's important that we appreciate everything, even the little things. Live everyday like it's your last. With a little less worry and a few more smiles, the world would be a better place.
