Emergency responders found a 3-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to the lower leg.Why is gun negligence taken so lightly? Even when the explanation makes no sense, the police usually shrug their shoulders, say to be more careful and leave it at that.
They say the child was in the care of his grandmother when the injury occurred. Her boyfriend had a .22-caliber revolver at the home, according to Corporal Ron Clark with the Tulsa Police Department.
"Her boyfriend was in a room with the child at the back of the residence," Corporal Clark said at the scene. "We believe it was an accidental discharge of a handgun."
The boyfriend told officers that he bought the revolver at a Tulsa flea market last weekend and did not believe it was operable.
What was he doing with a gun that he thought didn't work? Why was it loaded. How could he possibly have pointed it at the baby and pulled the trigger.
A guy like that should be arrested immediately, and then after careful due process, he should lose his god-given, natural-human rights to own guns.
