I had made reference to the Yoast SEO plugin back in November. While configuring this plugin, one of the changes I made to the Harvey Mercheum website based on advice from wpbeginner was to disable the author archive. I just recently realized that a side effect of this change is that clicking on the author name in the “Posted by” line of a blog post now just returns to the home screen rather than displaying the “Biographical Info” from the “About Yourself” section of the user profile.
I feel that it is important to display this information somewhere, and that it will be more important once we have guest authors submitting posts. After some experimentation, I have added an “About the author:” box to the end of blog posts.
