A Voice in the Wilderness – 4

By None

The silence of man in the face of the most horrid neglect of Him Who Is infinite love, is abominable. It is the silence of those who are neither hot nor cold (Rv 3:16). It is the silence of desolation. But this silence becomes more abominable when it is perpetuated by His own; when it comes straight from the hearts, minds and souls of His own people. Never was such a degree of silence heard before, from the mouth of His very own. And never will such silence be heard on earth ever again.

Note: Written in the Upper Room, on the the vigil of Pentecost.
