I've heard of the author but never read them before. I liked the cover, the title and the blurb intrigued me. Three good reasons to check out a book. It took ages to get into this book. It felt like I was reading two separate books. The first chunk of the book deals with a man falling from a great height and taking part in bizarre tasks. If he dies he comes back to life and starts again. This was a bit crazy and I wondered what was going on. The second and biggest chunk of the book deals with the man living in an AI town called, you guessed it, Discovery. Discovery seems to be perfect but there's some pretty dark stuff beneath. I engaged with this book and had a lot of fun reading it. It's let down by its poor dialogue though.
