A New Way to Save Money on Kids’ Clothing with Flipsize.ca

Check out the original post A new way to save money on kids’ clothing with Flipsize.ca on Bewildered Bug

I know I’m not a Mommy, but I know a lot of you are, so when I see an amazing deal that I think you should be aware of, I believe I should let you  know.  After all, I’m a blogger – is it not my responsibility to tell you everything that comes to the tip of my tongue and more? (just teasing).

Seriously, though, this is a pretty cool deal.  I’ve discovered this little website called Flipsize.ca (yes there is a US alternative as well), upon which you can recycle your used, clean, gently used kids’ goods in exchange for points on the website to purchase other gently used items you may need.  You can also use those credits to purchase Amazon credits, Babies R Us credits or Paypal Cash.

How sweet is that?!

Flipsize is picky about what they accept though – so you can’t send in just any and everything.  They accept and recycle the following only:

- Children’s clothing sizes 12M – 12 (in good condition and laundered)

- Children’s shoes sizes NB to Pre-School (sizes 0 – 13.5 and sizes 1-3 Pre-K)

- New with tags (NWT) items – maybe gifts you were given that for one reason or another does not quite work in your family and may work in another?

- Coats, Jackets, Hoodies, Hats and Swimsuits.

The way it works is that you apply on the site for a free Flipsize Mail bag – fill it up (with 40 – 60 items) and then, using the pre-paid Canada post label included (yep, they take care of shipping!), post your full bag back to them.  You have 14 days after receiving the bag to return it – well, technically you have longer, but then you’d have to pay the shipping because the pre-paid Canada post label is only valid for 14 days!

May I suggest a kiddie playdate for your friends and family requiring them to bring a couple of pieces of clean clothing to recycle in order to fill that bag up just a little faster?!

Oh, I also forgot, instead of just the normal membership you can also upgrade to a Gold Membership which would allow you to make a wish list to reserve items, discounts & promotions only available to Gold members and of course special access to the Gold member areas on the site.  It only costs $29.99/year – so if you like the service, this may be an excellent option for you!

To celebrate the opening of Flipsize.ca, they are giving away one $100 credit to the site (remember you can exchange site credits for Amazon, Babies R’ Us and Paypal cash as well) – you just gotta do the tasks in the rafflecopter form below.

This #giveaway is open to Canada only (hey, it is a Canadian site!) and runs from Feb 8th to Feb 21st at midnight.

Thank you to FlipSize and Kidsumers for organizing this giveaway.  I was not compensated for this post and all opinions (as always on Bewildered Bug) are my own.
