I’m excited to announce a few changes to The Tofu Diaries! Hopefully you have spotted that the blog has a brand new design and layout:
I decided to make the switch from wordpress.com to a shiny new self-hosted website using wordpress.org. This means that I can use plugins, run java script and have more freedom over its design to generally make visiting this blog a better experience for you all. Most importantly, it also means that I now have full ownership of my content.
If you were previously following via WordPress or email then don’t worry as you are still subscribed. Luckily I’ve been able to bring all of your lovely comments with me but sadly it isn’t possible to transfer ‘likes’ so they have all been lost – I do still have the ‘like’ feature though so please keep using it
One change I have made is the decision to introduce my own banner/sidebar advertising on The Tofu Diaries (but there will no longer be WordPress.com’s automatically placed ads, hurrah!). I assure that this will not interfere with the content you find here in any way and I will always do my best to keep it discreet, but it will go towards the costs of hosting and other blog-running expenses. Furthermore I will try to ensure that it is relevant and potentially interesting to you guys so if you see something that you don’t think should be here then I appreciate hearing your feedback.
Another feature I have introduced, which is the one I’m really excited about, is advertising for bloggers so if you are interested in appearing on here or in a (free) blog button swap then please get in touch!
This blog would be nothing without having such wonderful readers so I’d love to hear your thoughts! Please take a look around and let me know what you think or if you spot anything that isn’t working properly.
