I'm not sure what people up till now have done with their "retired" inflatable friends but the Dutch artist Sander Reijgers has come up with an idea. He customizes existing tracksuit tops with parts of blow up dolls that he has received from a sponsor. Sander explains: "It's a challenge to turn something empty and ugly into an aesthetic object that elicits a positive response".
I usually don't have a problem with dressing up and looking silly (even brought my girls to school in my PJ's because I was in a rush). But wearing this to school pick up may even for me be a little bit too much. I had a really good giggle about it though.
