My favorite model-turned-actress has a part in Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic The Great Gatsby!
Gemma Ward is playing Catherine and today we got our first look of her on the Australian set. I was excited for this movie from the second it was announced because who can resist Baz Luhrmann's luscious sets and surreal story telling? Add in the fact that it is one of my favorite novels and that Carey Mulligan is playing Daisy and you can imagine how thrilled I was. But now that I know that Gemma is also in it? I'm absolutely giddy!
Alas, The Great Gatsby isn't scheduled to hit theaters until Christmas Day 2012 so I'll have to wait!
