Bangalore Café or b Café as it is better known as, is a one stop destination when it comes to a huge spread of food, desserts and drinks. On 14 February 2016, Shangri-La Hotel marks the launch of the Mighty Sunday Buffet Lunch at b Café. b Café serves the ‘Mighty Sunday Lunch’ from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and has a seating capacity for 200+ persons with an option to sit inside as well as outside. The Mighty Lunch is competitively priced at INR 2299+ taxes with unlimited soft beverages and INR 3399+ taxes with unlimited selected spirits and wines.
Led by Executive Chef Antonio Tardi and Chef de Cuisine Rounak Kinger, the Mighty Sunday Lunch at b Cafe champions a new ‘freshness redefined’ concept in which professional chefs take center stage in one of Bengaluru’s largest open kitchens. Each of these kitchens specializes in cuisines from around the world. These open kitchen creates interaction between the guests and the chef because people can come to the kitchen and speak with the chef to prepare their choice of food.
b Cafe introductions a larger-than-life celebration where families and friends come together to experience something more than just a brunch, the Mighty Sunday Lunch at b Café extends the culinary spread to exhibit special delicacies showcased on theme counters/kitchen. Right from the Salad Bar, which has a huge range of cold salads and you can even make your favorite one by selecting your condiments. A large array of handmade Sushi are also on display at this station. You can also try the ‘Chaat on the Cart’ counter, which makes a variety of Indian chats.
b-Café’s main focus is to bring families together, there is even a special corner called “Little Hat, Big Hat” for kids to learn in a new, fun way. A concept where children involve themselves in culinary activities, such as sandwich making, cookie decorating, smoothie making and more every week and gradually graduate to a big Chef’s hat. Due to it’s enormous size b Café also has a kids playing area. To make things even more interesting you may find the entire crew at b Café dancing at famous beats.
The most interesting was the central kitchen which makes a lot of different cuisines. This live cooking station makes Chinese, Thai and Asian specialties. Hot soups are served from traditional cast-iron pots. The counter also makes freshly prepared pasta dishes and a selection of international hot dishes. Fresh Pastas are prepared and served with various toppings and ingredients as per your needs. A fresh pizza counter not only makes delicious Italian Pizza’s but also a chocolate-marshmallow pizza.
The Indian station prepares homemade items like a selection of authentic curries and soups are also on offer. Furthermore, this station features an open gas oven producing breads like Roomali Roti and other breads. You may find this station representing different regions delicacies from time to time. We found an entire array of excellent Parsi dishes on the day of visit.
The Desserts station offers an elaborate display of cakes, pastries and sweets. It specially features two chocolate fountain and chocolate-making facilities, cotton candy-making facility, freshly baked waffles and made-to-order soufflé. Don’t miss the icecream counter which makes a variety of homemade icecream including green tea, 5 spices and so on.
b Café deserves brownie points just for the sere range of food on offer and the entire Shangri-La experience. The service is simply amazing and was without any complains.
