A Good Depthfinder for a Small Boat

While most larger sailboats have a permanently installed depthfinder wired into the electrical system, many smaller boats do not. An easy, inexpensive way to add a depthfinder to a small boat, or any boat without a 12-volt system, is to use a portable, battery-operated unit like the HawkEye. It worked so well on my 19-foot test boat that I permanently mounted the transducer inside the hull. Read the full review here.
