A Caped Crusader

By Blondeambition @BrookeFalvey

A caped crusaderOne fashion trend I’ve always wanted to embrace but never quite felt I could pull off was the cape but as the fancier older sister of the blazer, a cape can add a touch of elegance to any outfit you have on.

Unlike a poncho, capes have armholes which means they offer a more streamlined silhouette, especially from the front, and are much easier to eat, drink and wave your arms around in!

I recently found this Santiago Cape Jacket at Decjuba and jumped for joy when I tried it on and saw that it sat nicely across my shoulders while shaping in around my torso.

I wore it for the first time on my recent trip to Sydney, teaming it with a striped t-shirt, jeans and heels for a classic look. I added the Shira Embroidered Clutch from The Clutch for a pop of color.
