9/11: A Memory Essay

By Courtyb34 @CourtyB34
September 11, 2001. That was 10 years ago. I was 5 years old and I didn't really understand the whole concept of this big tragedy. I remember getting ready for school, and as we were about to leave, my dad turns on the news and my mom starts crying. My mom was shocked, and tears ran down her face. I didn't know what was going on, but I saw the World Trade Center destroyed on the news. It broke my heart to see my mom cry like that. I remember she was frantic, "I feel like I should help!" She says. I remember that. It's weird how you remember little details like that. 9/11 changed so many people. 9/11 changed the world. Because of September 11, 2001, the airports have stricter policies and were always on guard. We will Never Forget nor Never Surrender. Many online sites have attributed "online memorials". This site in particular has a collection of beautiful songs in remembrance of September 11, 2001.  Visit these other sites as well to listen to other people's stories and memories of 9/11.http://makehistory.national911memorial.org/http://www.911memorial.org/blog/tribute-music-ten-yearshttp://www.youtube.com/911memorialhttp://www.youtube.com/september11http://www.911memorial.org/
