5 Ways to Avoid Drama at the Wedding
I had an interesting question presented to me on my Facebook yesterday. It is one I am sure anyone and everyone who has ever planned a wedding has suffered whiplash from one pot hole or two before the special day.
I could hear the suffering through her words and it really got me thinking...why do weddings and funerals bring out the worst in people.  I could go there with a joke (I'm newly divorce!) but I won't for the moment.  I have some ideas...
5 Ways to Avoid Drama at the Wedding
1.Look at your invite list way in advance.  Here is a good rule of thumb...if people are drama about what hot sauce they are picking at Taco Bell then you can pretty much predict they will be drama at your wedding.  I'm sympathetic to the young brides who haven't made it completely around the block yet.  You can talk to the drama queens about your concerns.  However, many of us who have gone around the corner a few times would probably choose to cross them off the list.  Drama loves drama.

2.  I have just begun to get good at this...stop expecting   perfection.  It will be a beautiful day no matter what.  Everything has a work around.
3. Now this might be a sticky subject...but if you can hire a professional and not a relative do so.  Relatives have the best of intentions but are sometimes not as quick to deliver.  For my wedding there was someone on his side of the family that was a "whiz" with a video camera.  They were somewhat new to everyone and they were very big.  Everything was great until he kept backing up and hit the pew. The camera went all over the place and ended up fixated on the ceiling of the church...  Horrifying then...very funny now.

4. Pick one person to be in charge of the day.  Sounds funny until you are in the middle of the wedding with everyone making calls that you didn't approve.  This could be chaotic as well as costly.  A wedding planner will be the solution to this.  If this is not in your budget, pick someone you know does well under pressure.
5. Always remember and never forget that this is your wedding day...or your daughters.  If there is something that does not feel right, eliminate it immediately.
