There truly is nothing more romantic than witnessing a beautiful sunset over a coastal view or sitting side by side whilst you look over the ocean shore on the beach. If it's something you want to look out for when you're on your travels with your partner, then it's worth considering these destinations to witness some truly breathtaking views alongside the one you love the most.

Diamond Head, Honolulu, Hawaii

Still unsure about where to take the other half for your honeymoon? Hawaii is a great destination for newlywed couples that are looking for some quality time away together so it's no surprise that the tropical island also comes with great sunset views too. In particular, Diamond Head which is a volcano and state monument is a great spot to witness the sunrise just above the Waikiki Beach.

Ao Kao Beach, Koh Mak, Thailand

Towards the East Asian continent, Koh Mak in Thailand is famous for its sunsets. Steering away from the usual busy cities like Bangkok and Phuket, Koh Mak provides a quiet and scenic setting which compliments the sunset perfectly, partly because there are no high rise skyscrapers that block the view and you get to experience the full experience of the sun setting below the horizon.

Greece's iconic white and blue architecture provides a perfect setting when the sunset reflects its rays against the traditional buildings. Santorini is no different. Oia is based just off the cliffside of Santorini which overlooks the Aegean Sea. It's here where you'll find the ideal location to cast your eyes on the sunset as it sets and enjoy a breathtaking experience.

India alone is enriched in culture and tradition so there aren't many reasons to be persuaded to visit the country. However, travelling all that way truly wouldn't be the same unless you attended the iconic Taj Mahal and what makes it that extra bit special is the sunset that occurs behind it during dusk. Stunning colours also reflect around the building making it a jaw-dropping view.

North Cape, Finnmark, Norway

Norway isn't ideally the warmest of destinations that you're due to visit during your lifetime and with it being so far north towards the Arctic Circle, witnessing a sunset here is a pretty unique experience as during the Summer, the sun rarely sets. The midnight sun is what visitors can witness where the sun sets just above the horizon but never truly disappears which is a phenomenon in itself.
