How to Hit a BIGGER Kick Serve
Is your second serve constantly getting HAMMERED?

Do you feel like every time you go up to serve, you're playing from behind?

Or maybe you can hit a decent first serve, but your second serve just kind of "floats" in.

The truth is, you're only as good as your second serve.

And luckily, in this video, I've got your back...

Because Essential Tennis and I teamed up to bring you the top 4 tips for hitting a BIGGER, Better Kick Serve.

If you've never learned a kick serve before, but are interested in it, here's a step by step video I made that will help you:

The kind of Kick Serve that is actually a weapon, and doesn't just get crushed by your opponents.

In the meantime, here's the long and short of it...

  1. Make sure your racket path is correct. According to Ira (The Dude With the Cool Glasses), most players he sees are swinging THROUGH the ball... instead of "up" the back of the ball.
  2. Be Sure You are "loading" your shoulder, so you get enough racket head speed to make the ball kick, as Ian says. This is key because the coil is where you get all your power, and you do that by loading your shoulder.
  3. Kirby (by far the best looking of the bunch in this video) says you have to ACCELERATE your racket through the shot, to get it to truly kick.
  4. And Finally I say, let the ball toss drop a little bit so the racket actually has space to accelerate. Otherwise, you end up reaching up as high as you can to make contact, and the racket has lost the momentum it needs to "brush up" the back of the ball.

And There you have it, if you want to see this in stunning, extremely colorfully outfitted detail, click the video above and check it out.
