  • 1. Do foods plan of your meals each night so that you only buy what you will be eaten, On average 40% households chuck out half of their shopping each month.
  • 2. Use left over foods in homemade soups and casseroles.
  • 3. Ring round all your utility providers and see if they can give offer you a better deal.
  • 4. Recycle your old cd’s DVD’s and mobile phone through online sites.
  • 5. Shop around before buying trying smaller companies rather than the larger chains.
  • 6. Before you buy anything on the internet, have a look for it first on Price runner: You will almost certainly find what you are looking for at another site cheaper than where you first found it.
  •  7. If you like a bargain and love vintage clothes the internet is a great place to grab yourself a great product at a reduced price.
  • 8. Making a list, believe it or not by making a list of all the things you need to do will in the long run save you time and money.
  • 9. Save any old clothes or fabric,these can be used to make cushion covers, chair covers or even a patch work quilt.
  • 10. Save glass jars and make your on jam. Making your own will save you money and will taste much better! (Great making with children also)

  •  17. Manicures to expensive? Then do it yourself treat your self to some new nail varnish and with glitter and cellotape  you can get the perfect nails straight and salon quality.
  •  18. Sell old clothes on sites like gumtree, preloved and ebay!
  • 19. Keep your car clean on the outside this will stop u wasting petrol.
  • 20. Keep your tyres pumped and don’t let them wear out.
  • 21. Make your own play dough there are plenty of websites with free recipes for child friendly play dough.
  • 22. Save any old containers and crafty bits for an arts and crafts afternoon with the children great for a rainy day and it’s free!
  • 23. Grow your own fruit and veg low cost and healthy no pesticides just organic home grown vegetables.

  • 25. To save money on your heating bills put two sets of curtains on in cold weather and also attach tin foil behind your radiator as this will reflect the heat keeping your house warmer on a lower setting.
