2014 NFL Pick-em's Contest: Week 01

By Kipper @pghsportsforum
Ladies, Gentlemen, Steeler Fans from around the World, and fans from lesser football teams,
Welcome to the 2014 NFL Pick-em's contest. Here are the rules.
1. Every week I will post the NFL pick-em' schedule on Sunday afternoon for the following week. You have until the first round of games that start at 1:00 on that given Sunday to get your picks in. PLEASE ONLY PICK THE CITIES OF THE TEAMS NAMES, and in the ORDER THAT IS LISTED ON THIS SCHEDULE. COPY (cntrl-c) and Paste (cntrl-v) the schedule into a new thread and delete the team you think is going to lose. This way it's in order, and I can easily copy and paste them into a spreadsheet, where formulas do most of the work for me. This makes it easier on me. Considering I do this contest out of courtesy, and to have fun, please consider my time.
2. Every week there is usually a game on Thursday, if you don't get your picks in time during that time, dont fret it. You will just receive a DNP (did not pick) for that game, however the Sunday games are still in play, and you can still post picks for that game.
3. Each week the person(s) that picks the most winning teams for that week will receive a "1" in the weekly winner column. If you pick at .750 or better, but didn't win for the week, you will receive a "1" in the >.750 column. Those that pick better than .500 will receive a "1" in the .500 or better columns. If you pick less than .500 you will recieve a "1" in the loser for the week column. These numbers come into play after the regular season is complete, and we seed for the playoffs.
4. Each week the standings will be updated, and will be seeded by the amount of total correct wins. There is no spread in this contest. It's a straight out, you pick-em' and get em' game. The tiebreaker from above (#3) is used to break the tie.
5. Depending on how many players we have, the top 16 will make the playoffs. IF we don't have 16 players in this contest, it could either be 8 or 12 people that make the playoffs. Regardless, your chance of making the playoffs in this contest is good, if you play from week to week.
6. If you miss a week, don't fret it. However, you don't want to miss 5 or more weeks. IF you do, you are eliminated from playoff contention this year.
