12 Kilos Lighter.

For those of you that read my old blog, you will remember after the birth of my daughter, I successfully lost 30kilo. I had 10 kilo more to lose to get to a weight that I was happy with and this month, since March 5th, I’ve lost 12 more kilo. How? Well, literally starvation!
I cut out ALL carbs completely, no bread, no rice, no potatoes.
The first two days were the hardest. Day 1 I had a banana and a low fat natural yoghurt and ate grapes/strawberries throughout the day. That was it, I didn’t have a huge meal. Mini snacks but only fruit. I didn’t cut out my coffee fix and I allowed myself milk and one spoonful of sugar to give me a power boost. By Day 3, I had increased my calories but only by about 50. At my weigh in last weekend, I was happy to see the scales were DOWN… Waaaaay down. 12 kilos lighter. I’m so happy. I really could not get it shifted. Starvation and messing with my metabolism actually worked, and what’s good is that it is actually staying off.
Someone said to me, you’ve now lost 42 kilo since November 2011, you won’t be happy with that, you will want to keep going and they are right. Ideally I would like to lose another 5 even though right now my BMI is spot on. I know I will plateau again but I’ve just got to up my activities, keep the food at a minimum and really keep up with the water. Do you have any miraculous weight loss stories? If so, let me know.
