100 % Pure Whey Protein Isolate -3 Single Serve Pack Review

By Debi Lantzer @debiL1611

For the past nearly three years, I've had a protein shake for breakfast. I've tried different kinds of protein powder in my experiments but I usually go back to my regular brand. When I saw this product available, I thought I'd give it a try and see if it would be the one to beat out my "stand by" product. My first comment would have to be that the 3-pack for $7.99 is a little steep for my family's wallet. Each packet contains one serving too.

Looking further at Summit Nutritions' various size offerings on Amazon, I see that the 2 lb. and 5 lb. sizes are slightly more reasonably priced. Another important factor to me is flavor - I do not care for chocolate protein shakes. Chocolate anything else is great, just not my shake. It's probably because I love to add matcha green tea, fresh or frozen fruit, and a dash of 50/50 orange juice along with some ice and I blend it together.

I didn't want to change anything except for the powder to I could give you an honest opinion about the flavor, so I used my standard add-in items and whipped up a shake using the 100% Pure Whey Protein Isolate by Summit Nutritions.

I will say that the shake tasted great! There was no weird earthy flavors or weird coloring and no clumping. Overall, the powder blended very well in my shake and I was pleased with the result. This powder packs a lot of extras for its cost, but I'm still on the fence about whether or not I find all these things important in my life. Perhaps if I was a bodybuilder or worked out 3 or 4 hours per day, this would be worth the cost, but I'm no expert:

This Whey Protein by Summit Nutritions is 100% bio pure whey protein isolate. Basically, this means that the whey protein is isolated from the whey protein concentrate and when filtered still preserves the natural amino acids. This protein has no protein "spiking" and no amino acid "spiking." In each scoop you will receive 90% protein. This mixture is zero fat, low carbs and low cholesterol. The packs are lactose-free, soy free and naturally flavored with Stevia. This brand does not "spike" their products with Taurine, etc.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
