100% Pure Healthy Skin Foundation With Super Fruits – Review

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

Hi everyone,

One of the most recent foundation I’ve been trialling is the 100% Pure Healthy Skin Foundation with Super Fruits. Not only is this foundation free of toxins but it’s also 100% natural, 100% vegan and 100% gluten free! I was excited to try this product as it’s the first vegan foundation and I loved that the formula also had a skincare aspect to it, having been formulated with skin loving ingredients.

This foundation is perfect for the natural woman being coloured with fruit and vegetable pigments instead of using synthetic dyes and toxic ingredients. Packed with ingredients such as goji berries, acai and pomegranate along with the alimentative vitamins E and C, this foundation not only provides perfect coverage but also nourishes the skin with revitalising antioxidants.

The foundation comes in a sleek tube and features a pump for easy use. The consistency of the foundation is great as it’s thin but not runny which allows for easier application and with a creme to matte finish, I found that the foundation does set quite quickly so its best to work it all over the skin as fast as you can and I found using my hands was best, however with the help of a base such as a primer that contains some silicone or even a moisturiser that leaves a bit of slip to the skin, you shouldn’t have any major issues.

On my normal, slightly dry skin, I found that the foundation actually worked really well and didn’t exacerbate any dry skin, although it is a matte finish. It also lasted throughout the day (though I did wear a base underneath, as I do every time I wear foundation) and it didn’t cause any shine either. With a medium coverage, it allows for evening up the skin tone and hiding any blemishes and discolouration. The formula also contains Zinc Oxide, a physical sun protector.

One thing I did note was that the foundation does err on the darker side, so with my fair skin, I chose the shade ‘White Peach’ which is the second lightest shade, however, it was slightly dark so I opted for a setting powder in my skin tone’s shade to rebalance the color and it resolved the issue though I would suggest purchasing a sample first to find which shade suits your skin the best.

The 100% Pure Healthy Skin Foundation With Super Fruits is available in 4 shades, retails for $39.95 and can be purchased from Nourished Life.

Have you tried anything from the 100% Pure brand?
