10 Awesome Gadgets For Lazy People

Here are ten great gadgets that are ideal for the average lazy person who has more money than physical motivation. Most of the gadgets are very expensive, and some of them may point towards how technology is going to turn out in the future.
1. The Mechanized Raking Machine
This is a device that sweeps up your leaves and grass across your lawn. It has brushes on the front for smaller items and a conveyer belt across the top for picking up bigger leaves and other such items.
2. Husqvarna Lawn Mower
This is an automatic lawn mower that is becoming slightly more popular, but still has a way to go. It is currently the best one on the market because it jams that least, and requires less maintenance than the others. There are also solar powered ones, but you do need to charge them up at the sockets in most cases. They are great for very lazy but rich people, but are possibly not worth the price they currently stand at.
3. The Automatic Stirring Mug
This is a cute little toy that will stir your drink for you if you press the button. Sadly, it does take batteries and it is not something that you can leave on charge like a mobile phone. It is a fun little toy that they could improve a little more so that it may appear in more homes. It still looks and feels too much like a brittle toy for it to take pride of place in people’s homes just yet.
4. Self Cleaning Clothes
Did you ever see that Simpsons episode where Homer manages a country singer and she buys him a suit and tell him that his sweat cleans it. Well, that sort of technology exists with self cleaning fabrics. The fabric is covered with a very fine film of particles that are stuck to the fabric like fleas on a heel hound. It guards against dirt and grime sticking to the clothes, meaning it has nowhere to go but to fall off or rub off.
5. Robotic Vacuum Cleaners
They have been available in Japan for a very long time, but only really moved into commercial success in the west with the launch of the Roomba. It is a device that runs around your house vacuuming up. The modern ones will recharge themselves and sit by the bin until you empty them. They are fun to have around the house if you can get used to having it do what it wants when it wants.
6. The Sound Catching Pillow
This is a pretty new invention that has only just started to catch on. The range involves a bunch of pillows with holes (voids) in the middle. It means that you may lie down on your side and still have the use of your ear (the one that is on the pillow). This means that you may put a speaker under there, or it means that you may put your phone in the void. It means that you may lie down on the pillow with your head resting on it and still use the phone. It is the ultimate in lazy gadgets.
7. The GO Duster
This is one of those gadgets that you see on shopping channels. It is a duster that spins around. This means that all you have to do is hold it near a dusty surface and it will do all of the dusting for you. If they were to have a vacuum hose extension near the part that is being dusted, then it would be a fantastic dusting and cleaning tool.
8. A Programmable Power Strip
This is the ultimate lazy gadget for people who are too lazy to even turn things on and off. You can program the strip so that it provides power at certain times. That way it will turn off your electronics for you.
9. The Solar Powered Curtain Opener
This invention has been invented time and time again, and yet it only seems to be the really posh houses that have them. The idea is that the battery that powers the device is charged up with solar power form the light that comes through the window. When the light is gone then the machine closes the curtains. When the sun comes up in the morning and the light hits the sensor, and then the curtains open. It is clever but rarely seen in shops as the cheaper ones are often too brittle to last.
10. Clap On and Clap Off Light Switches
These have been around for a long time and seem to jump in and out of popularity. They appear on TV and everybody wants one and then after a year or two they are forgotten about. They are a simple tool that turns the light off and on when you clap your hands in the room. There are also voice controlled versions that you may like to try.
