Did you miss me? Or perhaps you didn't even know I was gone? I'm guessing the latter outweighs the former, but you're here now, so let's chat. I began this blog over a decade ago to document my then brand new running hobby. That hobby has since become a lifestyle and given me access to roads and trails all over the world. I began a daily run streak in 2015, and I'm happy to report that it's going strong, over 2600 days later.
However, chasing42 has always been about more than running. Aside from being a reference to a favorite book, I've always seen it as characterizing my broad thirst for knowledge. Multidisciplinary thinking and learning have shaped my personal and professional lives and left them quite intertwined in many ways. We often talk about wearing "many hats" or possessing "many lens" through which we see the world, but do we ever really take one of those hats off or put the glasses down?
As such, I'm restarting and re-envisioning this blog as an avenue by which I might share some of those many varied thoughts and ideas. I'll still be sharing insights into my running and running more broadly, of course. However, you can also expect a broad range of musings on new ideas, books, conversations, and other thought-stimulating activities. Life, the universe, and everything, if you will.
