Once the hormonal whirlwind begins to settle for us, our attention rightly turns to how to stay healthy and vibrant throughout the aging process. While I personally don’t agree with every recommendation (giving up alcohol altogether, for example, and the jury is still out on whether estrogen replacement actually prevents heart disease since contradictory studies exist), I believe that there are some wonderful commonsense recommendations in the areas of diet, exercise, and mental health.
