"Fenway Park At 100: Baseball's Hometown"

I recently bought a very nice and stylish book about the history of Fenway Park and its 100th anniversary, appropriately entitled "Fenway Park At 100: Baseball's Hometown."
It's a coffee-table style book, co-written by the fine authors Bill Nowlin and Jim Prime, who have both written many terrific books about the Sox, such as "Tales From The Red Sox Dugout" and "Ted Williams: A Splendid Life."
The book includes many photos of Fenway's glorious past, and Red Sox legends Bobby Doerr and Bill Lee wrote forwards.
It's definitely a great gift for any Red Sox fan on your Christmas list.
But I was also surprised to see two things in the book. My good friend and Red Sox Nation-NY's Governor, Chris Wertz, has a great little story in their about being taken out of school at age 7 by his brother to see a Red Sox game at Fenway.
And I was even more surprised to see my friend and fellow Red Sox blogger Jere Smith in a crowd shot in the Fenway bleachers. It's a close up shot, and I brought it to Jere's attention and immediately knew what game it was from, and even the situation that was happening when it was snapped. Good job as always on that, Jere! Here's the picture I found, with Jere on the far left:

Anyway, Mr. Nowlin and Mr. Prime have done a wonderful job in capturing the Fenway experience in not just words but pictures. Definitely check out "Fenway Park At 100: Baseball's Hometown." It will make you proud of Red Sox fandom.
