College Baseball Information Night

By Meachrm @BaseballBTYard

A few high school coaches in my area who compete against each other during the season have created a Fall league for their teams as well.  The league has run for a few years now with a lot of success.  Another thing they have organized is a “Baseball College Night” so the players and their families can become more educated on the college selection process.  For those who have had their own players go through that process, you know how difficult that can be.  If you are a coach then you probably have somewhat of a clue as to how the system works.  Unfortunately, most parents and players do not have the slightest idea about how the recruiting process works.

Below you will find a link to a PDF attachment that advertises their Baseball College Night.  If you are near this area then I’d highly recommend attending this event on Thursday (12/5/13) evening.  If you are reading this from afar, you may want to look into creating your own version of “Baseball College Night” for your athletes.  Sometimes high school athletic departments organize such an event for all their athletes but if they do not, give it some serious consideration.  It provides great information for players and families and also allows some area college coaches to showcase their programs in a positive way.  A win-win for everyone!

Note: I will be attending the event and will try to film as well.  In the future, I may post some or all of the footage.  Hope to see you there!
