Chanel Vitalumie’re Aqua Foundation Review

By Allaboutjyl
Hellos! I’ve wanting to try out high-end foundation of YSL and Chanel for the longest time, but the price just doesn’t compromise to my budget. Luckily, my fairy god-mother (a.k.a. my sister) asked me what I wanted for my birthday; hence without second thought I told her I wanted the Chanel Vitalumie’re Aqua foundation! ^_~ Chanel: Vitalumie’re Aqua – Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 What it claims:
  • Soft and ultra-fine liquid that is delicate and light to skin
  • Achieve even, fresh and energized complexion
  • Able to provide glow and a “second-skin” perfecting result
  • Endowed with a UVB sun filter and mineral sunscreens that helps protect sun damage sun rays
  • Contains a crystalline fragrance that accentuates sensation

My Reviews: Consistency:  Runny; but easy to buff and blend Scent: Smells like a “high-end” perfume Shade: Several shades available HERE, but I got the shade B10 (around NC 20) Coverage: Low to Medium but buildable Oil-Control: Medium to High Lasting Power: Would last around 5-6 hours and still intact without setting powder Price: USD 45 Packaging: Acrylic squeeze bottle Suitability: All skin types Availability: All Chanel stalls
What I Love About:
  • The consistency is runny but it blends and absorbs to skin easily
  • Able to even skin out , conceal pigmentation and minimize redness
  • It feels super light and hydrated on skin
  • The finish is semi-matte and airbrush look
What I Don’t Like:
  • Might accentuate dry spots;  I have dry spots on my cheeks and it kind of emphasize the dryness on that area
  • Need to shake bottle first before application (time consuming)
  • Difficult to squeeze out product due to the nozzle
  • Expensive for such a tiny bottle
  • Easily consumed! Used for 3 weeks and the bottle feels half empty already!
OverAll Reviews:
  • I love the B10 shade as it matches my skintone  “oh so- perfectly!”, no scary white cast or uneven color
  • The finish look so smooth and it almost has a “diffuse” effect on large pores and ice peak skin
  • It’s definitely a My Skin But Better look
That’s it for my Chanel Vitalumiere review! I think I’ve found my Holy Grail foundation already!!
Thanks for dropping by ^_~
