I got this foundation in a swap roughly two days ago, and I wanted to blog about this asap as it is a very interesting product (for both good and bad reasons).
Perfection Lumiere came out a while ago, and initially there was a lot of negative review. Even a good friend of mine returned this, because she wasn't happy with this foundation. I also read a lot of how this product doesn't budge once you applied it. There were lots of reasons as to why I didn't purchase this foundation. However, I am glad that I swapped for it and was able to test it out for this blog.
Upon my first application of this foundation, I was mortified. I had to work really fast with this product, because it really settles fast. I used my Dior flat head foundation brush, and had to really spread this around. I was also mortified at how it amplified my enlarged pores and my dry spots. I would have gotten rid of this foundation, but this foundation lasted all day, so I wanted to work around the problems and keep this foundation.
I'm so glad that I spent some time experimenting with the foundation and other products. First thing that I did differently was use a moisturising primer. Then, I added a bit of liquid highlighter to the foundation, and that helped so much. Now I have a great foundation routine which includes the perfection lumiere, and I really couldn't be happier.
This product isn't perfect, and I know a lot of people grumbled because it does cost £36, but I honestly haven't found a foundation that lasts this long, so it is well worth it to me.
Just remember...1. Wear primer2. Add liquid highlighter either with the foundation or on top to give a moisturising dewy/healthy finish instead of the matte and slightly dried out finish
